Pléneau & Charcot Islands
Le détroit de Lemaire. Souvent bouché par les glaces, nous tentons l'accès et c'est une réussite
Les phoques se prélassent sur les morceaux de banquises qui sont nombreux par ici
A la sortie du détroit, un chionis blanc vient se poser sur le point, pour nous observer un instant, étranges créatures que nous sommes
Nous mettons l'ancre (et les amarres à terres) à côté de l'île de Pléneau dans une petite baie protégée des grands icebergs
Lorsque nous arrivons, il n'y a presque pas de glace dans cette petite impasse
Mais la marée ramène peu à peu les morceaux de banquises
L'endroit se rempli alors chaque jour au gré de la marée et parfois on ne voit plus l'eau
Cette ensemble d'îles est un havre de paix pour des balades à pied ou en kayak
Les premiers couchers de soleil
La banquise est omniprésente dans cette région
Cela fait le plaisir des phoques
